Do you guys ever hear someone say something that isn't really true about cars but you don't say anything about it because you're in a big group of people and you don't wanna get weird looks and glazed faces.

I have it happen all the time. If correcting isn't appropriate I let it go. I die inside each time a little more. What is worse is when I get corrected by an "expert" and e eryone agrees and looks at me like I am a moron. And I am right!!!
Allison never made motors but Cummins did. Really?? Cummins makes turbos and builds engines. Allison makes transmissions, but they used to make Truck engines and still make aircraft engines. I know this. But never mind car expert. You are never wrong....
Worst thing is that he's my brother in law and I will never get away..

Someone was once filming a movie outside my school (a Hong Kong movie called Overheard 2) and they were filming a scene where a Ferrari 360 gets rammed by a truck. They had two Ferraris lined up - a wrecked one and a pristine example. Later on in class, a classmate told me it was an F430. I said no, it's an 360. And so we bickered…
But I maintain it's a 360 - the evidence is on YouTube, since someone uploaded it there. The crash happens in the first few minutes of the film.
AMGtech - now with more recalls!

Iwill usually correct them. Screw social niceties. The wrist is when I'm out for lunch, wearing my uniform, and somebody comes up and says "so are you a mechanic? My check engine light is on, what do you think it's wrong with it?"
